How NBNSBS Backup systems work
Backing up your data
1. At a predetermined time, the Nothing But Net client backup system "activates", determines which files need backing up, and what kind of backup (Full or Incremental) is scheduled for that night.
2. It then compresses those files into archives 65% to 85% of the original file sizes. These archives are then encrypted using an encryption key known only to you or your network administrator.
3. After your files are compressed and encrypted, Nothing But Net Client Software activates your high speed network connection and sends your encrypted files offsite to our storage facility.
4. Your critical data files are verified for integrity before sending, while being sent and again after reaching our storage network. This ensures that the data sent and the data stored on our server network are an exact match.
5. After your backup is sent to our server and verified, your computer system returns to normal state, our client operates in the background "hiding" until the next backup time. An encrypted copy of your critical data files are now safely offsite in our secure storage facility. If your building burns down, or your computer is stolen, or files are deleted by accident, replacing your equipment and restoring your files from our Remote Backup Server can save your business.

Restoring Data - Multiple Version Restoration
1. The Nothing But Net Remote Backup system lets you restore your data using our easy to understand user interface.
2. You simply pick the RESTORE option from the menu, tag the files you want to restore, and then let our Remote Backup system restores the files. You have the option of restoring files to their original locations or saving files under a new name or location.
3. You will see a list of all restorable files available on our server network. This file listing is sorted by Directory/file Name and Backup Date. You will have instant access to restore any version of your data files.
4. Nothing But Net maintains a 31 day history of your files! Files older than 31 days can be archived through our CD-ROM program or a custom plan can be put in place by talking with our sales staff. |
